Baccarat for Philippine players: banker, player, and the tie

A plain-English baccarat briefing for the live tables PHLOVE pages pointed at.

The old PHLOVE post “tips for playing baccarat” tried to teach a shoe in a few slogans. The shoe is simpler than the slogans, and the side bets are where the price hides.

The two main bets

Player and Banker are bets on which hand finishes closer to nine. Picture cards count as zero. Aces count as one. If a total goes past nine, only the last digit counts. The banker bet often pays slightly less than even money because the table takes a commission. That commission is why the banker price and the player price are not identical.

A tie bet pays more and loses more often. It is a different product from the main bet. Roads and streaks do not make the next tie more likely.

Etiquette that actually matters

Decide the bet before the timer is nearly gone. Changing a chip stack while the shoe is closing leads to rejected bets and arguments with a screen. The dealer is not delaying the result for your road map. The live casino guide covers table limits and stream delay.

A limit that fits a slow game

Baccarat feels calm, so sessions run long. A small stake times fifty hands is still a large amount. Write the hand count down. /tips-for-playing-baccarat/ redirects to this article.
